Why 3 and 6 Month Subscriptions?

The length of the subscriptions allow for knowledge and skill development over time, after all learning is a process, not an event. Subscriptions enable the learner to return to the course content for reference whenever they need to, reinforcing the knowledge acquired, and supporting the transfer and maintenance of that knowledge in the workplace.

Learners can continue to access the practice quizzes and additional learning measures to test their retention of knowledge. The results help the learner identify and focus on the knowledge areas that need improvement.


Develop and/or enhance your knowledge and skills regarding the correct administration and application of the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), the Comprehensive Adolescent Severity Inventory (CASI) and the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria. Individuals can purchase 3, or 6 month subscriptions to the E – Courses. The subscriptions provide 24/7 access to course content, resources, and practice exercises for the life of the subscription. Complete all E – Course requirements and receive your CEU’s and a certificate of completion. Complete all E – Course requirements and achieve a passing score on the post course and follow up learning measures, and receive a certificate indicating you posses the knowledge and skills required to correctly administer the ASI or CASI and Utilize the ASAM Criteria.

Obtain the evidence to demonstrate you possess the knowledge and skills to administer the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) correctly. To become a certified ASI Interviewer individuals are required to;

  • Complete, pass and submit all pre, post and follow up learning measures, knowledge and skill self assessments, and learning contracts that are included in the ASI E – Course.
  • Submit for evaluation an audio tape of an interview conducted utilizing the Addiction Severity Index (ASI), along with a completed paper version of the interview including all notes, comments and impressions.
  • Using a paper version of the Addiction Severity Index (ASI) code and rate a telephone interview you will conduct with one of our ASI interviewing experts. Scan and send completed coded version of the interview including all notes, comments and impressions.

All learning and proficiency measures will be evaluated. Written and verbal feedback will be provided regarding each measure. Interviewers must successfully complete and pass all learning and competency measures.

NOTE: Completion of all measure DOES NOT guarantee certification.
Individuals who are not successful at achieving certification, may submit an additional audio tape, and participate in an additional telephone interview within three months, after reviewing course content, and at a reduced rate.
